Additional questions for comprehension & imagination amongst kiddos:

Acts 10: 30-48

Comprehension:

In verses 38-43 Peter tells Cornelius and his household the Gospel, how does he share it with them? (maybe make a bullet point list of the important things he shares)

Imagination:

Why do you think God didn’t just have the angel tell Cornelius about the Gospel, but instead had Cornelius send for Peter?

Comprehension:

What made Peter realize that Father God does not “play favorites” but is inviting EVERYONE into His Kingdom? (God chose Cornelius by sending him an angel messenger)

In verses 38-43 Peter tells Cornelius and his household the Gospel, how does he share it with them? (maybe make a bullet point list of the important things he shares)

What happens after Cornelius and his household hear the Gospel?

Imagination:

What would your reaction be if you were praying and all the sudden a man glistening and shining appeared next to? How do you think you would feel in that moment?

Why do you think God didn’t just have the angel tell Cornelius about the Gospel, but instead had Cornelius send for Peter?

If someone sent for you and said they had a dream or an angel came to them and said they should contact you, what Good News would you share with them?

Activity to do with kids:

At the beginning of the DBS portion of your gathering have all kids trace their hands or each others hands. While the scripture is being read they can color and decorate their hands. (let them know they will be adding something special to their hands at the end). After the DBS review The Gospel & The Gift and have the kids label their hands with the words for each finger. On the back of their paper they can write a thank you note to God for the good news of the Gospel and all the gifts we receive because of it.
